Hello everyone. My name is Vahid, and I am pleased I’ll be helping you on your academic journey to success. I have many years of experience in teaching English to speakers of other languages. If you wish to know when I started my career, you’ll be surprised to know that the IELTS test didn’t exist then. I have taught English to students from diverse backgrounds and have seen many of them succeed in their studies. You have made the right decision to study English at this centre, and I wish you all the best in your endeavours.
I began teaching IELTS when the only books available on the market were the Cambridge series books. Hardly did anything exist on test skills and techniques. In later years when more resources became available, both teachers and candidates began to get a grip on what IELTS was all about. These developments helped me qualify as an IELTS examiner, a status that I kept active for four years from 2010 to 2014. In my opinion, an IELTS teacher who has also been an IELTS examiner is in a powerful position to guide his/her students towards success, and I am happy that I can expend my dual-role experience in aiding my students to fulfil their goal of passing the IELTS test and embrace all academic and professional opportunities awaiting them.
Years of working with IELTS candidates from around the world have brought me to this conclusion that what assure a candidate of success in IELTS are test experience and engagement. Unlike test knowledge, these are the only capabilities that accompany a candidate under test conditions. Thank you for taking the time to read this introductory message, and I wish you all the best in your endeavours.
